The Ashby Opens Gardens event takes place each year in and around Ashby de la Zouch in North Leicestershire.
The privately owned gardens are opened to the public for one day for a single charge of £3 to visit all of the gardens on show with funds going to Cancer Research.
One garden is of particular interest at 27 Avenue Road as it's the work of my green-fingered daugter-in-law Annie Mills with help from my son Steve. It is also a wonderful garden for their children Oliver and Hannah to play in and enjoy. No doubt I'm somewhat biased in my opinion, but I think it's the best I've seen, especially as I've seen it devlope over an amazingly short time into the fabulous place it is today.
I photographed all eight of the gardens in 2010 that you can see on a six minute photo show on the Ashby Open Gardens website. See the Menu for the Videos and Slideshow page and click "2010 Audio Visual Slide show". The website is HERE.
