This is a new e-book is about Alfred Wainwright's Welsh Mountain Drawings of Snowdonia. It is a little known fact that he visited North Wales when he was over 70 years af age and realised just what he had been missing over the years. He had mistakenly believed that it would be the stereotypical scene of slate quarries and other man-made scared landscapes. Little did he realise until he saw it just how magnificent were the mountains of North Wales.
By the invitation of Mumford Books a group of ten photographers embarked upon a mission to rediscover all his 101 viewpoints in his book and to take a series of photographs from these same locations. After considerable investigation and effort all of them were found and photographed. The routes are described and the locations are given by OS grid references and for GPS users. This innovative e-book is available as a download or as a CD-ROM that are both interactive and have details about setting up your GPS for accurate UK use, photographic tips, an outline of the industrial heritage, links to helpful websites and more.
