The society has been in existence for about half a century and currently has a membership of approximately 100 members. We meet on the second Thursdays of the month from October to March (six annual meetings).
We have speakers covering many 'engineering' based topics, although some are very loosely related. Presentations are generally on a level for the average interested person to understand and are not intended to be too in-depth technical lectures.
